This week in cloud-related news brings us to the forefront of innovation, with GCP, Azure, and AWS all pushing the technology forward with big events like Google Cloud Next and Microsoft Ignite. Amazon Web Services didn’t sit idly by, however; three new general availability and an update to an important platform keep them in the mix!

With deep learning as the evolution of AI, AWS brings new capabilities to high-performance model training with Trn1 instances powered by Trainium Chips. Amazon also extended its reach ever further into the East with new local zones in Taipei, Taiwan and Delhi, India. Finance aficionados will be pleased with their new Cost Explorer console that provides at-a-glance budget numbers for AWS costs. Finally, Amazon Connect Cases improves the efficiency of Amazon Connect by automatically creating cases based on previous interactions.
Google Cloud Platform has been very busy lately, so much that a mere summary won’t do justice to the 123 different announcements provided Google Next ‘22. Cloudpod covered the highlights, including Innovations for Google Workspace to mee the resign demand for hybrid work; discounted pricing on Spot VM; free learning opportunities for Google Cloud from its makers; a wave of unified data across multiple GCP platforms, and so much more!
Across the aisle, Microsoft’s Ignite event had big drops of its own, including new innovations for Azure to boost the agility of all businesses and comprehensive new ways to modernize productivity with Microsoft Cloud. Like Google Next, a summation of announcements from Ignite won’t capture the breadth of new products they announced at Microsoft Ignite, so you’ll need to tune in to CloudPod to get the full scoop!
Tune into next week’s episode of CloudPod for more timely and important cloud-related stories!
