Also, their Simple Notification Service (SNS) gets a boost to its security with message data protection. Finally, they’ve Seekable OCI (SOCI) allowing them to launch partial image retrieval so we can stop wasting valuable seconds waiting for the entire container to load.
In the news every cloud enthusiast is talking about, Google acquired cybersecurity firm Mandriant, combining two of the biggest companies in tech. They took data security even further with the announcement of Google Cloud Backup and DR and Beyond Corp Enterprise. The search company also opened up training with their Cloud Digital Leader Certification, opening up training for those who want to really expand their expertise. Microsoft Azure was relatively quiet in this roundup but they still managed a couple of game changers. First, they announced the general availability of Built-in Monitor Alerts for Azure Backup. Next, they announce interstellar new releases for Azure Space, their next-generation cloud projects that focus on leveraging the regions beyond the clouds, so to speak.
